SHOWSTOPPERS
We did very well during this our last competition of season 2011 – 2012. High scores went to Nerds with Platinum and Arms with Double Platinum. Arms also received First place under the contemporary division. Shake Señora and Birds received Platinum. Candy Man and Where I Stood received gold. Congratulations to Vanessa and all the girls in the competition team.

DANCE CAMP 2012
We have the schedules for our Dance Summer Camp available. Space is limited and registration will be based on a first come basis. Please contact us if you have any questions.

DANCE INTESIVE 2012
The camp will consist of several advanced technique and dance classes taught by highly experienced instructors. The students will be exposed to an intense level of dance classes in the following categories: Ballet, Jazz, Contemporary, and Hip Hop. In addition, different exercise classes will be included.

SUMMER PERFORMANCE
Once again we are planning our Summer Recital and hope that all students participate. This year's recital will be called "Imagine". We will embark in a world of mystery and imagination that will showcase all different levels of dance classes offered at the studio.

AMERICAN CANCER SOCIETY RELAY FOR LIFE OF MIAMI LAKES
Team Ballet Ouvert will camp out overnight and take turns walking around the track to raise money and awareness to help the American Cancer Society create a world with less cancer and more birthdays. We will also present the American Cancer Society a check with the funds raised during Dancing for the Cause. We invite you to become a part of this celebration and a team member, stop by the front office and register.

PHOTO SHOOT MAKE UP
During April we will have another photo shoot for new students and for students that were not able to take their pictures. We will send more information as the date approaches.

We still have "Dancing for the Cause" t-shirts available at the studio. If anyone is interested in helping the Ballet Ouvert Team raise money for Relay for Life please come by the office and purchase a t-shirt. They are only $10.00 and were specially designed for the studio.

Since 2004 Ballet Ouvert has offered professional dance instruction with classical ballet at its core. Ballet Ouvert’s educational program is intended to provide dancers with a system of study to develop the technique and skills of classical ballet. In addition to training in classical ballet, we offer a diverse curriculum that includes Contemporary, Bollywood, Flamenco, Jazz and Hip Hop.

Students attending our courses are guaranteed high artistic standards and strong technique. Our instructors will not only dedicate themselves to the teaching process, but will also get involved in developing every individuals creativity and discipline for a professional dance career. At Ballet Ouvert our students will gain the necessary tools to make dance a part of their lives and learn first hand the immeasurable value of a dance education. Ballet Ouvert works with individuals looking for a professional career as well as those who enjoy or understand the physical benefits of dance.
